Abducted Student Regains Freedom In Ondo State

The student of the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Imeri, in Ose LGA of Ondo State, Jethro Onose, who was abducted by gunmen, has regained his freedom.

City & Crime earlier reported that Onose was kidnapped alongside his father, Maliki Onose, while returning to school after the three-week holiday.

Adetunji Adeleye, Commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, otherwise known as Amotekun Corps, confirmed the rescue of the student and his father on Wednesday morning.

Mr Adeleye said the rescue operation between the navy and the Amotekun Corps led to the freedom of both the father and his son from the kidnappers’ den.

He said, “We combed the length and breadth of the forest with the permission of the navy and in collaboration.

“Both the father and his son are now safe and have reunited with their family.”

Damilola Ogunrotimi, Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the Navy Secondary School, also confirmed the release of the student and his father.
