First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, has urged young Nigerian girls to embrace modesty and reject the notion that nakedness is equivalent to beauty. She made this statement while speaking to a gathering of young women, emphasizing the importance of cultural pride and dignity.
“We are not hosting the MET Gala, nakedness is not beauty. We don’t accept nakedness in our culture. We know who we are, don’t lose who we are. The men are clothed, and the young beautiful girls are going naked,” Senator Tinubu said.
Her statement aims to promote a sense of self-respect and cultural identity among young Nigerian women, encouraging them to take pride in their traditional values and resist foreign influences that may contradict their norms.
