The Anambra State Government has issued a stern warning against extortion, emphasizing that only the Unified Hybrid Enforcement Team (UHBET) and approved Agents of the Anambra Internal Revenue Service (AIRS) are authorized to collect taxes, levies, and tolls on its behalf.
To ensure authenticity, these authorized personnel must wear official uniforms and present valid identification cards when demanding payments. Anything contrary to this is considered extortion.
