Anambra State Police Command Warns Against Disruptive Protests on June 12

The Anambra State Police Command has issued a statement warning individuals and groups planning to protest on June 12, Democracy Day, to refrain from actions that may threaten public peace and safety. The command has deployed operatives to strategic areas to ensure the free flow of traffic, safety of lives and property, and a peaceful environment.

While acknowledging the right to advocate for interests, the police emphasized the importance of adhering to existing laws governing such activities. The Commissioner of Police, CP Itam, urged the public to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and cooperative, and to report any security-related incidents to 07039194332.

The Anambra State Government, through the Commissioner for Information, Paul Nwosu, wishes the people of Anambra a peaceful Democracy Day celebration.
