The All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra State executive committee, has showered encomiums on the party’s Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, for his consistent financial and moral support to the state chapter of the party.
Basil Ejidike, chairman of the state chapter, who made the commendation, confirmed that Duru, a member of 4th Assembly, House of Representatives, has shown benevolence to the party.
Ejidike showered the praise at the state APC stakeholders’ meeting recently organised to rub minds on way forward to build a stronger, people-oriented party and government in the state.
“This meeting indeed heralds a new chapter in the history of our party as we collectively grow our resolve to build a strong and united party in the state, devoid of rancour, sabotage, and disloyalty,” he disclosed.
Commending Nze Duru for assisting the party with a monthly financial support for the sustenance of its activities in the state, he urged other leaders of the party to emulate him.
We have no major source of funding, hence my appeal that we throw our weight behind the party through financial assistance l. In all, there is no steady source of revenue for the daily activities and sustenance of the party apart from the monthly financial support by the Deputy National Organising Secretary, APC, Nze Chidi Duru,” he revealed.
Speaking earlier at the event, Duru APC stalwart had applauded the Ejidike-led state executive committee for providing the much-needed leadership towards making the party a household name in the state.
Duru noted that the meeting would proffer directions on how to boost the fortunes of the APC in Anambra state, as well as how to deepen internal democracy in the running of the party’s affairs at the state level.
He expressed delight with Senators Ifeanyi Ubah, Uche Ekwunife, and others for joining the party, noting that their presence in the party would further enhance its profile in the state as they approach the 2025 governorship election.
“The meeting is a demonstration of the fact that Anambra State APC is ready to occupy an enviable position in the scheme of things in Anambra, South East zone, and Nigeria at large,” he declared.
