A devastating fire incident occurred at the headquarters of Christ Embassy Church in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State, earlier today. The blaze ravaged the church premises, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
Reacting to the incident, Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate, expressed his deep distress and sympathy for the victims. In a statement, Obi commiserated with the founder of the church, Reverend Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the entire church membership, and the affected community.
Obi urged the authorities to investigate the cause of the fire immediately and take necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future. He also called on Nigerians to come together to support those affected and rebuild what has been lost.
“We must all stand united in the face of adversity and work towards a safer and more compassionate society for all, knowing that God is always with us even in our storms,” Obi said.
