Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has slammed the Nigerian government for implementing four national budgets concurrently, calling it a “blatant disregard for fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability”.
Obi warned that this action will lead to chaos, confusion, and catastrophe, and urged leaders to prioritize the needs of the Nigerian people over selfish interests.
He demanded an immediate reversal of this situation, advocating for a more responsible and transparent approach to budgeting.
Obi’s statement reads: “We seek and insist on a nation governed by leaders who are frugal and responsible in their handling of public resources. This is the only way we can build a great nation.”
