Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara declared he would resign if loyalty required him to govern the state on his knees.
He made this statement during a solidarity visit from the Ogbakor Etche ethnic nationality at the government house in Port Harcourt today.
Governor Fubara further criticized the Martin Amaewhule-led House of Assembly, stating that he initially planned to assist them but decided against it due to their attitude.
The Governor also announced that he is already preparing his 2025 budget proposal.
Recall that on Monday, the Amaewhule-led Assembly passed a resolution mandating the Fubara to represent the 2024 budget, which was passed into law by his pro-lawmakers in 2023.
