Awka, Anambra State – The Anambra State Police Command has recorded significant achievements in the past 60 days, according to a press briefing by the Commissioner of Police, CP NNAGHE OBONO ITAM.
The Command has arrested over 200 suspects, secured five convictions, rescued four kidnapped victims, and recovered 33 different brands of arms and 1,644 ammunition.
Additionally, the Command has launched a community policing model and an anti-cultism campaign, and warns criminals to retrace their steps or face the full force of the law.
CP ITAM appreciated the support of the state government, judiciary, and stakeholders, and urged journalists to verify information before publishing to avoid misleading the public.
