Dear President Tinubu,
I am writing to you today as a concerned citizen of Nigeria, to urge you to consider stepping down as President of our great nation. This decision, though difficult, is necessary due to the current state of affairs in the country.
Mr. President, it is no secret that the economic and security challenges facing Nigeria have worsened under your administration. The suffering of Nigerians has become unbearable, with many struggling to survive due to poverty, hunger, and lack of access to basic necessities like healthcare and education.
Your age, Mr. President, is also a significant concern. At 72, it is evident that the demands of the office are taking a toll on your health and energy levels. The presidency is a demanding job that requires vigor, stamina, and sharp mental acuity, all of which are dwindling with age.
Under your leadership, the economy has continued to deteriorate, with inflation soaring, and the value of the naira plummeting. The poverty rate has skyrocketed, leaving millions of Nigerians in abject poverty. The security situation has also worsened, with terrorist attacks, kidnappings, and banditry becoming the norm.
Mr. President, it is clear that your administration is overwhelmed by these challenges, and it is time to accept that you are no longer fit to lead our nation. Your continued stay in office will only exacerbate the suffering of Nigerians.
I implore you to consider the legacy you want to leave behind. Do you want to be remembered as a President who presided over the downfall of Nigeria, or as a statesman who put the interests of his nation and people first?
Resigning now will be a courageous and selfless act that will demonstrate your commitment to the well-being of Nigerians. It will also give your party, the APC, an opportunity to revitalize and reposition itself for the future.
Mr. President, I urge you to listen to the voices of Nigerians who are crying out for change. We need a leader who is energetic, visionary, and capable of addressing the complex challenges facing our nation.
Please, Mr. President, do the honorable thing and resign now. Nigeria and Nigerians will be better off for it.
