Concerned Kogi Citizens Forum writes letter to Senate President of Nigeria, Godwill Akpabio in protest against “BVAS Fraud”

“SUPREME COURT SAVE NIGERIA DEMOCRACY NOW!
“The conflicts arising from the Judgement of the Kogi and Bayelsa Elections by the Appeal Court on BVAS Accreditation are indeed concerning. The disregard for BVAS accreditation on technical grounds is disheartening. In Kogi, the Appeal Court ruled in favor of APC but dismissed BVAS reports due to doubts about INEC staff identity, while in Bayelsa, the judgment favored PDP as the APC candidate failed to provide evidence of overvoting with BVAS data.
“The Chief Justice of Nigeria’s remark about justice not being accessible to the common man reflects the growing disillusionment with the judicial system. The call for the Supreme Court to intervene and uphold justice in electoral matters is crucial to prevent the perversion of justice through buying and selling verdicts.
“INEC’s reliance on legal defense rather than addressing the issues with BVAS is concerning. It’s essential to consider new leadership within INEC to improve electoral processes. The plea for change in the electoral system is valid, emphasizing the need for competent individuals, regardless of their background, to lead INEC effectively.
“We have come to a point where we must demand for a free, fair and transparent electoral process in Nigeria, free from manipulation and corruption of INEC Returning officers and Judiciary conspiracies.
“Babalawo can do better, carpenter can be a better returning officers than the professors in over two decades of our democracy and INEC lead by academic Juggernauts.”
