The state youth leader of (APC) Anambra state has called on Anambra , southeast and Nigeria youths everywhere to shun the planned and sponsored protest that is aimed at disrupting governance and further inflict more pains on Nigerians*.
… According to Hon Jideofor Ejimofor, Nigeria youths should not play into the hands of Nigeria enemies,we must avoid this externally influenced and political sponsored protest to avoid the destruction this only country( Nigeria )we call our own……
The current administration ably led by His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, you all agree is the most youth friendly administration in this country since the return of democracy in 1999.
i am appealing to all Nigerians especially the youths of Anambra state and southeast to give the current administration more time, by reminding ourselves that this is the only administration that has placed priority on youths with lofty programs aimed at empowering the youths to drive the economy of the Nation through businesses,local production and Investments,Some of which are;
a) The current disbursement of non- interest students loan aimed at supporting student’s education who are predominantly youths.
b). The consumer credit scheme, that supports individuals mostly youths, with credit facilities at almost zero interest rate, aimed at supporting small and medium scale businesses.
c). The conditional grant scheme, where small businesses, household and individuals are supported with cash to start up businesses, to increase man power development within the the Nation.
d). The tax free food importation window to boast food availability and end the food crisis which is currently a global problem, occasioned by climate change.
e). Creation of the ministry of livestock to end food scarcity, reduce herders and farmers crisis.
f).Approval of the new minimum wage of N70,000 and reduction of minimum wage negotiations from 5 years to 3 years, thereby prioritizing the welfare of civil servants in Nigeria.
g). The current disbursement of 20 trucks of food items to the 36 states including FCT, to ease the challenge of food scarcity, with a view to provide food for the citizens which some governors have refused to appreciate and acknowledge publicly so that the citizens will at least appreciate this kind gesture of Mr president.
h). Access to over 5 billion naira support grant with SMEDAN to support small businesses within the country.
I). The formation of the youth Advisory council, the first of it’s kind, with a view to further empower youths of the Nation to take center stage in business and the governance of the country.
(J). Creation of South East and North West development Commission all aimed at ensuring development across all the regions of the country.
(K) This administration has also granted the long awaited and anticipated local government autonomy aimed at getting development down to the grassroot level of governance where people at the rural areas will participate actively in the development of their place
I am calling on all youths of Nigeria to give their full support to this administration, as the only administration that has appointed more youths, both in the executive arm, heads of parastatals and government agencies, notably, the Minister of interior( Hon. Tunji Ojo), Minister for youth ( Dr . Jamila Ibrahim), Minister of state for youth (Hon. Ayodele Olawande), Minister of Communication, innovation and digital Economy (Hon. Bosun Tijani), Minister of state for Water Resources ( Hon. Barr. Mohammed Bello Goronyo ), DG of SMEDAN (Hon. Charles Odii ), too numerous to mention, by giving it more time and support.
I am appealing to all youths across the country to avoid the temptation of being used by highly placed politicians and business men whose children are overseas and are bent on destroying the image of the current administration, even against all the policies that the government has put in place to ease Nigerians of the global economic challenges which is not peculiar to our country Nigeria alone.
My fellow youths of Nigeria, before we allow ourselves to be used by agents of darkness that want to plung Nigeria into civil unrest ,and if care is not taken ,an avoidable civil war,let us check some countries where their youths were used to desterblize in the recent time and find out that the end of these type of sponsored protest is usually disastrous and to the detriment of the youths , women and children.
Finally, i am calling on all Nigerian youths to arise , let’s join hands together and build our country now that we have the privilege to play a role in government through our colleagues that are currently on the table of discussion
