Abdel-Fatau Musah, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, ECOWAS, has said ECOWAS Defence chiefs have expressed commitment to democracy and good governance.
He made this known while reading a communique at the end of a three-day meeting of ECOWAS defence chiefs in Abuja.
Mr Musah says West Africa is gradually being turned into an arena of great power and competition.
He emphasised the need to fight terrorism as the West African region is in mortal danger.
