Abuja-based Public Interests Lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi has asked the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) to stop the Federal Government from the normalization of criminalizing lawful dissent as it undermines the democratic fabric of the society.
According to Olajengbesi, historically, governments that have resorted to such heavy-handed tactics have invariably eroded their legitimacy in the eyes of both the citizenry and the international community.
