Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufa’i, paid a goodwill visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his hometown in Daura, Katsina State, on Monday afternoon.
Garba Shehu, a former presidential spokesperson, shared the news on social media, stating.
“This afternoon, I had the privilege of being with the former President, Muhammadu Buhari, as he received my old schoolmate, Nasir El-Rufa’i, who came on a goodwill visit in Daura. The former President had a joyous moment with the visiting former Governor,” he posted.
The meeting comes amidst speculation about El-Rufai’s political future following his alleged withdrawal from consideration for a ministerial appointment in President Bola Tinubu’s government.
This withdrawal was reportedly due to concerns raised by the Department of State Services (DSS) during the clearance process.
Meanwhile, El-Rufai also visited Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State, in the company of former SSA on Media and Publicity to former President Muhammadu Buhari, Malam Garba Shehu at the Katsina State Government.

According to him, the Governor has started on the right path and urged him to sustain the tempo for the benefit of the people of Katsina State.
