INEC vows effective use of BVAS, Irev for Ondo Election

The Independent national electoral commission INEC says it will ensure every vote counts with the adequate deployment and use of Biomodal voter accreditation System ( Bvas) and ensure electronic transmission of results from polling units.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ondo state, Oluwatoyin Babalola said this while addressing journalists in Akure on the preparation of the commission for the election.

Babalola promised that the Commission would put in its best to ensure the election results are transmitted to the INEC portal from the 3,933 polling units in the state.

She said the large percentage of the non-sensitive election materials for the November 16, 2024 poll have been received and distributed to the eighteen local government areas of the state.

The REC further disclosed that the total number of registered voters in the state is now 2,053,061.
