The Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun has assured Nigerians and sports enthusiasts of a befitting and best sporting activities in the forthcoming National Sports Festival slated to be hosted by the state in the second week of January,2025
He made the promise in Abeokuta, the state capital while inspecting renovation and construction of new facilities for the festival at different venues in the state capital. The governor expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment and level of progress of work done so far at designated venues for the 22th edition of the sports festival.
He assured Nigerians of hosting a festival that will continue to be a reference point in the history of the National Festival. The state is expected to be represented by about a thousand athletes are to represent the state in Twenty seven compulsory and Seven other non compulsory games
