As the 2027 election season gains momentum, the billionaires and millionaires who allegedly fueled Peter Obi’s presidential run are once again in the spotlight. From established magnates like Emma Bishop Okonkwo and Allen Onyema to youthful influencers like E-Money. As Nigeria enters another critical election season, the question looms: if they actually stood by him as alleged, will the influential Anambra billionaires who powered Peter Obi’s last presidential campaign step forward again?

Industrial leaders like Emma Bishop Okonkwo, Allen Onyema of Air Peace who coordinated considerable number of billionaires for the campaign, Hon. Chudi Ofordile of NIMASA, the late Senator Annie Okonkwo, and Innocent Chukwuma of INNOSON gave huge financial support to Obi’s presidential campaign. However, with shifting political dynamics, all eyes are on whether they’ll renew their commitment.

During Obi’s campaign, their collective influence wasn’t only financial, they mobilized men and women of Igbo extraction to support Peter Obi. Hon Chudi Ofordile discreetly mobilized Lagos and Abuja based technocrats, as well as top civil servants for Obi’s campaign, even as he worked under the former President Muhammadu Buhari who did not show keen interest in the election.

Adding a fresh perspective to this decision are younger millionaires like Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, who represents a new generation of business icons who embody both success and a drive for transformation, bringing innovative ideas to the table. E-Money was responsible for rallying artists and content creators for Obi’s presidential campaign.

Today, the question of whether these billionaires will invest their time and resources once again on Obi’s political aspiration, or move on to another candidate, considering that Tinubu is not like former President Buhari is begging for answer.

As the election season heats up, the stance of these prominent figures in 2027 presidential election will likely shape not only Peter Obi’s campaign but also set the tone for Anambra’s role in national politics. Are they likely to stand together for Obi’s vision once more knowing that their previous efforts didn’t work out as anticipated?.
