Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has emphasized the importance of unity among all progressives in Nigeria. This call was made during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) held at the party’s headquarters in Abuja, on Friday December 6, 2024.
The NEC meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including the APGA National Chairman, Chief Sly Ezeokenwa, the Hon Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and APGA Board of Trustees member, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, and the immediate past National Chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye.
During the meeting, Chief Ezeokenwa commended the Nigerian Judiciary, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their commitment to upholding the rule of law and constitutional democracy. He also praised Governor Soludo for his leadership and unwavering support throughout the party’s recent legal battles.
The immediate past National Chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye, moved the motion of commendation on the National Leader, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, for his sterling leadership of APGA and impressive performance as Governor of Anambra State.
The NEC meeting featured discussions on key party issues and resolved on seven motions, including a motion for the ratification of existing standing committees established by the National Working Committee. Another motion for the commendation of the Nigerian judiciary for safeguarding democracy; Motion for the ratification of the adoption of electronic membership registration for APGA; Motion for the appointment of additional members of the Board of Trustees, pending ratification at the next National convention amongst others.
