Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, former Minister of Special Duties during the administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has been accused of orchestrating the forceful arrest of his alleged baby mama, Hadiza, after a DNA test confirmed him as the father of her child with a 99.99995% probability.
Hadiza, the daughter of the former minister’s alleged lover, had earlier accused him of taking advantage of her, violating her, and exploiting eight pregnancies for alleged ritual purposes. She claimed the former minister had denied knowing her and refused to acknowledge paternity of her child.
The controversy escalated after the DNA test results conclusively identified Turaki as the father. Following the revelation, the former minister allegedly used officers of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) to arrest Hadiza on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
Eyewitnesses report that the officers broke into Hadiza’s residence, forcibly arresting both her and her daughter. The arrest occurred as Hadiza returned home to retrieve clothing for her child.
Hadiza alleges that Turaki ignored police invitations to address the case and evaded arrest by faking a trip to the United States. She further claims that his actions, including her forceful arrest, are aimed at silencing her.
According to Hadiza, the former minister had been entrusted by his ex-lover to support her education but instead exploited her vulnerability. Now, she fears for her life and has called on authorities to hold Turaki responsible if any harm comes to her or her daughter.
