British Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Kemi Badenoch, has sparked controversy with remarks about the Nigerian police, claiming they engage in robbery and theft due to the country’s widespread poverty.
Speaking about her personal experience, Badenoch alleged that police officers in Nigeria once stole her brother’s shoes and watch, highlighting the harsh realities faced by citizens in the country.
“It’s a very poor country, so people do all sorts of things,” she stated.
