Agidigbo FM Owner Oriyomi Hamzat Hospitalized After Witnessing Fatal Stampede at Ibadan Event

Mr. Oriyomi Hamzat, the owner of Agidigbo FM, is currently hospitalized following his shock after witnessing the d+aths of several children during a tr+gic Christmas party at the Islamic High School in Bashorun, Ibadan. 

Sources from the media house said that he was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care.

The stampede occurred on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, during a children’s festive event organized by Queen Naomi Silekunola Ogunwusi, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife. Agidigbo FM had actively promoted the event in the days leading up to the incident.

The Oyo State government confirmed that at least 35 children lost their lives, with six others critically inj¥red.

The police, in a statement by SP Osifeso Adewale, also reported the arrest of Prophetess Naomi Silekunola and seven others involved in organizing the ill-fated event.
