There have been several reactions from the general public and particularly social media users after Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and Presidential candidate of the Labour Party visited a correctional centre in Onitsha, Anambra State to spend time with inmates. In his statements, he pointed out that his visit was as a result of his policy of celebrating with the distressed in the society.
The inmates at the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Onitsha, Anambra State were treated to a pleasant surprise as the former governor of the state and presidential aspirant of the Labour Party, Peter Obi paid them a Christmas visit. In his manner of keeping his supporters abreast of his political activities, the former governor took to his official social media handle to share insights into his visit to the correctional centre.
According to the statements which the former governor shared on his official social media handle, X his visit was as result of his policy of celebrating with the distressed in the society. He was accompanied by the Archbishop of Onitsha and Grand Patron of the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Archbishop Okeke.
