2027 Elections: I’ll Reduce APC Vote Shares In Kano – Sen. Kwankwaso Vows…

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano State and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, has vowed to significantly reduce the All Progressives Congress (APC) vote share in Kano State during the 2027 elections.

Speaking at his residence in Kano, Kwankwaso addressed a group of stakeholders from Tsanyawa Local Government Area, including former councillors and senior special advisers who served under his previous administration.

Reflecting on the performance of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 2023 elections, Kwankwaso attributed the party’s success to the unwavering commitment and tireless efforts of his team.

Despite being a relatively new political party with a late start to its campaign, the NNPP managed to secure an impressive result in Kano, where it outperformed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which garnered only 15,000 votes. This achievement, Kwankwaso pointed out, was a testament to the strategic planning and strong political mobilisation of his supporters.

Now, with eyes set on the 2027 elections, Kwankwaso expressed confidence in the ability of the NNPP to build on this momentum. He declared, “It’s now time for us to diminish the APC’s influence in Kano. We will work tirelessly and strategically to reduce their vote count to less than 15,000 in the 2027 elections.” He emphasized that the upcoming elections would not only be about contesting for power but about reshaping the political landscape in Kano State, ensuring that the APC’s dominance is effectively challenged.

Kwankwaso highlighted that the key to achieving this goal lies in grassroots mobilisation and the continued strengthening of the NNPP’s political base. He stressed the importance of engaging with local communities, listening to their concerns, and addressing their needs. By doing so, he believes the party can establish a solid foundation for future electoral victories, not just in Kano but across the country.

The former governor also urged his supporters to remain focused and united in their efforts. “The task ahead is challenging, but with dedication and discipline, we will deliver the results that will guarantee our success in the 2027 elections,” he said. Kwankwaso called on every member of the NNPP to contribute to the party’s long-term vision, ensuring that their collective efforts would not only lead to political victories but also foster meaningful change for the people of Kano and Nigeria as a whole.

In conclusion, Kwankwaso’s message was clear: the road to the 2027 elections would be paved with hard work, strategic thinking, and a relentless commitment to reshaping the political dynamics in Kano State. The NNPP, under his leadership, is poised to challenge the APC’s dominance and create a new political narrative in the state.
