Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha has addressed rumors claiming she welcomed a baby boy on New Year’s Day.
The speculation began after fellow actress Omoni Oboli shared a lighthearted reaction to the news circulating online. Taking to her Instagram page, Omoni posted a screenshot of a Facebook post congratulating Chioma on becoming a new mother.
In a sarcastic tone, Omoni playfully debunked the rumor, joking that she had spent nearly three hours on the phone with Chioma, discussing topics like breastfeeding schedules, naming ceremonies, and other related matters.
She wrote in her caption;
“I’m hearing congratulations are in order for my lovely friend @chiomakpotha on the birth of her bouncing baby boy We’ve been on the phone for over 2 hours 30 minutes discussing breastfeeding, naming ceremony and others. Perhaps we call the baby @thechiomachukwukatv since that’s the only new baby I’m aware of that’s trending! PS: As seen on Facebook!”
Reacting to the rumors of welcoming a baby boy, Chioma Akpotha took to the comment section of Omoni and sarcastically replied, “Oh by the way, on YouTube I have a set of twins.”
