Gov Okpebholo Orders For Immediate Demolition Of Houses In Edo, See Reason

The governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo on Friday, January 17, ordered the police and other security agencies to demolish all the houses linked to 16 suspected kidnappers arrested in the state.

Okpebholo said the directive for the demolition of the property was an immediate effect.

The governor’s directive comes shortly after some kidnappers were arrested in Edo Central district.

He also urged the police to embark on a continuous raid of all suspected hideouts of kidnappers across the state.

According to the governor, the demolition of every property linked to criminals, especially kidnappers would serve as a deterrent to others.

Okpebholo said, “Criminals terrorising Edo State will have no place to hide, as security operatives have been empowered to fish them out wherever they are. We have purchased 75 Toyota Hilux vans for the security of our people.”
