Apple will reportedly let TikTok remain unavailable on the U.S. App Store until the platform is acquired by an American entity
This decision follows the January 19, 2025, government ban targeting ByteDance-owned apps, including TikTok. Despite a temporary postponement initiated by an executive order from President Trump, ByteDance has yet to secure a U.S. buyer, leaving the future of TikTok in the States uncertain.
As a result, current U.S. users can continue using TikTok, but new downloads, updates, and in-app purchases remain restricted.
