Soludo’s Second Term Bid is Divinely Ordained – APGA Media Warriors

Anambra State’s political landscape is heating up as Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, the National Coordinator of the APGA Media Warriors Forum, has launched a scathing attack on Obiora Okonkwo over his recent proposal for a coalition of opposition parties ahead of the 2025 governorship election.

Obigwe, in a strongly worded statement, dismissed Okonkwo as a “failed politician” with “no electoral value,” accusing him of attempting to derail Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second-term bid. He described Soludo’s re-election as a “divine project” that cuts across party lines, claiming that even members of PDP, APC, and Labour Party are rallying behind the incumbent governor due to his transformational leadership.

“Obiora Okonkwo is living in a fool’s paradise if he thinks he can stop Governor Soludo. In 2021, he defected from PDP to Zenith Labour Party after losing the primary election to Valentine Ozigbo. The only thing he achieved was playing a spoiler role. He has an ‘it must be me at all costs’ mentality, which is why he cannot successfully unite opposition politicians,” Obigwe stated.

He further criticized Okonkwo’s political history, recalling his defeat to Soludo even in his home community of Ogidi during the 2021 governorship election. Obigwe also accused him of name-dropping Archbishop Valerian Okeke during the campaign, a move he claimed backfired and led to the Archbishop cautioning him.

Turning his focus to Chuks Uloka, a media ally of Okonkwo, Obigwe dismissed him as an “untrustworthy political jobber” who has a track record of betraying political benefactors. He claimed that Uloka once benefited from an appointment under former Governor Willie Obiano, only to later turn against him.

“Chuks Uloka’s history of backstabbing is well known. He abandoned Obiano in 2021 and is now singing for Okonkwo. But just like I predicted Soludo’s victory in 2021, I am making another prediction—Obiora Okonkwo or any candidate he supports will be defeated in 2025, and he will never succeed Soludo as governor of Anambra State,” Obigwe declared.

With the 2025 elections approaching, the political scene in Anambra is expected to witness intense debates and strategic alignments. Whether Okonkwo’s coalition proposal will gain traction remains uncertain, but the battle lines are clearly being drawn in what promises to be a fiercely contested election.
