Panic as Max Air Plane Suffers Tire Burst During Landing in Kano

A Max Air flight, registered as 5N-MBD (B733), narrowly avoided disaster on Tuesday night when it cr+sh-landed at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) following a b¥rst front tire.

The aircraft, arriving from Lagos, was carrying 53 passengers and six crew members when the incident occurred around 10:19 p.m.

One of the passengers, Aliyu Inuwa Mansir, described the terrifying moment: “The front tire b¥rst into flames upon landing, and smoke quickly filled the cabin. We had to evacuate immediately through the emergency exit. Firefighters were already working to put out the flames as we exited.”

Max Air’s Kano Station Manager, Malam Bello Ramalan, confirmed that all passengers and crew were safely evacuated. He added that the airline is cooperating with the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) and the Aircraft and Equipment Department (AED) to determine the cause of the incident.
