The Anambra State Police Command has arrested Obinna Anene, a 33-year-old man from Amene Village, Abagana, for his alleged involvement in the gruesome killing and burning of Alice Anene, a 74-year-old woman, on January 27, 2025.
In a statement released on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest, stating that the suspect is being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Homicide Section, Awka, for further interrogation and investigation.
The police assured the public that more details would be provided as the investigation progresses.
