The Honourable member representing Anambra east and west federal constituency expressed deep mourning after the tragic killing of Hon. Justice Azuka, a respected member of the Anambra State House of Assembly. His death is being described as a monumental loss to both the Labour party and the legislature.
Azuka, who represented the Onitsha North 1 Constituency, was abducted on December 24, 2024, while returning to Onitsha for Christmas. He was seized along Ugwunaobankpa Road in Inland Town, a move that marked the beginning of a painful ordeal. His body was discovered 44 days later, on Thursday, February 6, 2025, by security personnel at the Second Niger Bridge, making the situation even more Soul-crushing.
Hon. Aniekwe felt pain over the outrageous murder, and further described Azuka’s death as a significant blow to both the Labour Party and the legislature.
Speaking further, he extended heartfelt condolences to Azuka’s family, wife and children, praying God to console them at this most painful moments in their life.
