Dr Tony Nwoye

By Paschal Candle.

Since the creation of Anambra State and we have elected Senators representing Anambra North Zone in the Senate, we have had many Legislators who have gone to represent the Good people of Anambra North in the Senate. We have had the likes of Great Rt. Hon. Dr Chuba Okadigbo, A legislator Par Excellence, the man of the people, a great orator and a bridge builder. A man who understands that Politics is meant to serve the interest of the people. Since the demise of Great Oyi of Oyi, the good people of Anambra North have never had it so good until the coming of Dr Tony Nwoye, a Medical Doctor by profession and grassroot general, The current Senator representing Anambra North in the Nigeria Senate.

Since Dr Tony Nwoye won His election at the Poll and subsequent victories at the Tribunal and Court of Appeal, He has taken that responsibility bestowed upon him by the good people of Anambra North. Between June when he was sworn him and December 2023, Dr Tony Nwoye has made tremendous progress in representing the people of Anambra North, ndi Anambra, Ndi Igbo and Nigeria in General.

Sometimes, we underestimate the effect of good leadership. Dr. Tony Nwoye has given me a reality check on the effect of good leadership and quality representation. In Anambra North Senatorial Zone, we have had several representatives from 1999 to date. Dr. Tony Nwoye is just 6 Months in Nigeria Senate. Within this shortest period, The effect has been dramatic in several communities and Local Government in Anambra North and even outside Anambra North. From solar powered street lights, renovation of classroom blocks to innumerable roads. Today, Nsugbe has been totally transformed courtesy of Dr Tony Nwoye. I believe that at the root of his performance is his passion for his people, the Masses who are his major backbone. The unassuming young Senator has no interest in worldly properties like fancy cars, clothes or houses. His entire life is wrapped around religion, politics and positively affecting the lives of the poor.

May God continue to guide, direct and protect you. I believe if higher responsibility is given to you, you will do more than this. Onyeze, well done. We are expecting more from you. We need more people like you. If Ndi igbo will begin to elect vibrant and dynamic people to go and represent us or govern us, I believe we will not be where we are today as a people. It is time to stop money bags or people with bogus titles and certificates that have nothing to offer, only to hold onto a political power just to cover their misdeeds.
