As the world marks International Women’s Day, frontline senatorial aspirant for Anambra South, Barr. Donald Chidi Amamgbo, has extended warm felicitations to the resilient and hardworking women of the district, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to family, community, and societal development.
In his goodwill message, Amamgbo described Anambra South women as the pillars of homes, nurturers of future generations, and key drivers of progress. He emphasized that this year’s theme, “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” underscores the urgent need to create more opportunities for women in leadership, business, education, and governance.
“I strongly believe that empowering women is key to building a thriving society. Our mothers, sisters, and daughters deserve equal opportunities to lead, grow businesses, and make impactful contributions to governance,” Amamgbo stated.
He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to championing policies that will promote economic empowerment, political inclusion, and social advancement for women in Anambra South.
“To the industrious market women, the teachers shaping young minds, the professionals breaking barriers, and the mothers raising future leaders, I salute you. Your sacrifices and contributions are deeply appreciated,” he added.
As part of his vision for the district, Amamgbo pledged to work towards creating an enabling environment where every woman and girl in Anambra South can thrive and fulfill their potential.
“On this special day, let us renew our collective resolve to build a society of equality, prosperity, and security for all women. I stand with you and will continue to advocate for a future where your voices are heard and your dreams are realized,” he concluded.
