The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of U-VOL Foundation, Faith Adole, expressed the organisation’s commitment to providing consistent and intentional healthcare services to underserved populations.
Adole stressed that the Foundation’s mission is rooted in the spirit of volunteerism and giving back to society.
“Our goal is not just to provide training but also to create sustainable solutions that empower the local workforce.
This programme is just the beginning. By continuing to train midwives, public health workers and physicians, and by collaborating with institutions like the state Ministry of Health and Medical Teaching institutions, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission,we are laying the foundations for long-term Maternal Health improvements in Nigeria,” Adole was quoted in the statement.
According to the statement, the two-day training programme provided specialised training to 19 healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, public health physicians, and community health workers.
As part of its broader mission to support healthcare workers, the U-VOL Foundation also facilitated the donation of 19 Direct Relief Midwife Kits to St. Charles Hospital and Maternity.
The statement further noted that U-VOL Foundation has been working to improve health equity in underserved communities since its incorporation in 2015.
The organisation has been active in Benue State since 2016, implementing primary care health relief missions, maternal health programmes, and clean water initiatives.
Through its ValueHer initiative, U-VOL provides essential training, resources, and skills to healthcare workers, empowering them to improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes in Nigeria.
