
Nigeria’s first female Ambassador Consul-General, Ambassador Ajulu Okeke, is set to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at AMTY award ceremony coming up March, 22nd, 2025.
The award,, according to the organisers is in recognition of Ambassador Ajulu’s outstanding contributions to the Nigerian Foreign Service and her remarkable achievements in diplomacy and development studies.
With a distinguished career that spanned over three decades, Ambassador Okeke was able to demonstrate exceptional leadership, performance orientation, and team spirit, which earned her numerous accolades and respect from her peers.
Her impressive track record includes serving as Under Secretary Africa and Nigeria’s first female Ambassador Consul-General, where she played a crucial role in fostering Nigeria-South Africa relations and promoting the interests of the Nigerian community in the SADC region.
Ambassador Okeke’s commitment to her roots and cultural heritage has also been recognized, as she has been conferred with two traditional titles, Nne Mmuo Abacha and Ada Ezumezu Anambra, by the ancient Kingdom of Abacha and the Council of Obi Ndi Onowu Anambra.
In addition to her diplomatic career, Ambassador Okeke has established DipConsult, a diplomatic advisory service that provides strategic policy initiatives to governments and non-governmental organizations.
