Tinubu briefed on Niger Delta region, pledges support

President Bola Tinubu has received  comprehensive update on the ongoing activities and initiatives within the Niger Delta Development Ministry.

The President who was briefed by the Minister,  Abubakar Momoh, expressed support for the complete execution of projects and programmes that would bring about sustainable development of the region, and improve the lives of the people in the area.

In a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah, Momoh highlighted the vital projects and initiatives undertaken by the ministry to uplift the socio-economic landscape of the region.

He said he presented a detailed overview of ongoing infrastructure projects, community development programs, and efforts to address environmental concerns in the Niger Delta.

He revealed that, in addition to expressing gratitude for the Ministry’s efforts, President Tinubu acknowledged the vital role the Niger Delta plays in the country’s social and economic fabric.

He commended Momoh for the progress made and the dedication exhibited in addressing the unique challenges faced by the region.

The minister assured that the Ministry is poised to leverage this commitment from President Tinubu to further advance its mission of fostering holistic development, infrastructure enhancement, and community empowerment in the Niger Delta region.
