President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed why he tendered an apology to Nigerians before leaving office in 2023.
Buhari said he didn’t set out to intentionally make life miserable for Nigerians or inflict hardship and agony on them.
He added that he had to apologise because of what some people went through when he held sway as the nation’s president.
The former president spoke at a book launch in Abuja on Tuesday.
Two publications about the ex-president were launched today. The first was “Working with Buhari: Reflections of a Special Adviser on Media and Publicity (2015–2023),” written by Femi Adesina, and a volume of five books, “Muhammadu Buhari: The Nigerian Legacy (2015–2023)”, edited by Dr. Udu Yakubu
Former President Buhari handed over to President Bola Tinubu, a successor from his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, on May 29, 2023.
