Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, has expressed concern over his team’s high number of goals conceded this season.
In the past three games, the Blues have allowed their opponents to score four goals each time, with their most recent defeat being a 4-1 loss to Newcastle on Saturday.
As a result, Chelsea currently sits in 10th place on the league table, with only four wins out of 13 matches.
Pochettino’s team has already conceded a total of 20 goals in the league so far this season.
He said:
“No one is talking after Manchester City after we conceded four, like Manchester City.
“The amount we concede is because we need to be more focused and concentrated. Today we concede so easily the goals. That’s why we are disappointed with that.
“It’s a thing that we always talk about and try to be solid in our defensive line. It’s not only about the defensive line. It’s about our performance as a group, like a team.”
