The three newly elected senators were sworn in at Tuesday’s plenary session under the direction of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The lawmakers are Mustapha Musa (All Progressives Congress, Yobe East), Professor Anthony Ani (All Progressives Congress, Ebonyi South), and Prince Pam Mwadkon (Action Democratic Party, Plateau North).
At around 11:41 a.m., Mr. Chinedu Akubueze, the Senate Clerk, administered the oath.Following the swearing-in, they were escorted to their designated seats.
With the swearing-in of the three new senators, the number of lawmakers in the Senate and their political parties are as follows: APC – 59, PDP – 37, LP – 7, NNPP – 2, SDP – 2, APGA 1 and ADP – 1.
