A conglomeration of all political support groups of Late Senator Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah who spoke under the umbrella name; Ifeanyi Ubah Political Family, has denounced any claims that they had individually or collectively endorsed any of the politicians who has indicated interest to contest in the forthcoming Governorship election in Anambra State.
This declaration was made during a press conference which was held earlier today, February 18, 2025, at Awka, Anambra State. The press statement was signed by the leaders of Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, UbahNation Media Centre, Ifeanyi Ubah Solidarity Movement(IUSM) Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Women,Afa Igbo Efuna Solidarity Movement,Ubah Disciples, Door to Door for Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Ikemba Women Initiative, Afaigbo Efuna Movement and Olileanya Ndi Anambra,
Reading the communiqué on behalf of the Ifeanyi Ubah Political Family,the Director General of Ifeanyi Campaign Organisation, Chief Vin Onyeka reiterated that their “structure was built on the principles of human capacity development, infrastructural transformation and selfless service to the people,” noting that they are still carefully analysing the antecedents, leadership qualities and commitment of the contestants to the core values that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah championed in order to make informed decision in that regard.
The group therefore urged all and sundry to disregard all claims to the contrary by people who only want to take advantage of the already existent political structures for their personal gain while charging all their members to remain united and committed to protecting the good legacies of their late hero.
Also speaking at the press conference, the Image Maker/Media Director to the late Senator Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, Hon Kamen Chuks Ogbonna noted that the Ifeanyi Ubah brand transcends political parties and cautioned those he described as ‘political merchants who go about acting more Catholic than the Pope by seeking to use the brand and respected political name of the late senator to further their personal interests to desist forthwith’.
