Going back to history, Okwuosa emerged in the political sphere in the early 90s and in 1994 he became the local govt chairman of the old Nnewi North local government area. His achievements are there to speak for themselves, notably the rehabilitated Nnewi north roads and the famous Nnewi North housing scheme which stare us in the face todate, just to mention but a few. Zukky Okwuosa was adjudged the best performing local government chairman of his time.
During the 1999 – 2003 dispensation Chinyelugo served for two years as commissioner for works and transport before resigning his position as commissioner. But is it not on record that he designed the roads in Anambra state, even the ones accomplished by Sen. Dr. Chris Ngige and Mr. Peter Obi?
But the nagging question is, where are his contemporaries during his tenure as local government chairman? Where are the other contenders for the Nnewi South senatorial seat in 2003? Where are those he served with as commissioner during the mbadinuju-led administration?
The answer remains that: Whereas some have fallen into political slumber, others have gone into political oblivion … But Okwuosa STANDS THE TEST OF TIME.
