Benue Links Mourns Staff, Passenger Killed in Bus Ambush

Benue Links Nigeria Ltd has expressed deep sorrow over the fatal ambush of one of its buses by suspected herdsmen near Otukpo Burnt Bricks on Thursday.

We had reported on Friday that the transport firm confirmed that the 18-seater vehicle, traveling from Makurdi to Otukpo, was attacked, leading to the deaths of the driver, Mr. Samuel Agege, and a passenger seated in front.

According to the statement, three passengers narrowly escaped being abducted, while another had alighted earlier at Taraku, narrowly missing the attack.

Earlier this morning, The management of Benue Links however extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with security agencies to ensure the safety of passengers and the rescue of any missing individuals.

The company also praised the prompt intervention of law enforcement operatives and expressed optimism in their ongoing efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
