Former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, has been killed by kidnappers after being abducted in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, Parradang was kidnapped around the Area 1 axis of the Federal Capital Territory after withdrawing money from a bank. The assailants reportedly trailed him, took the cash, and later killed him.
Makama noted that the incident has reignited concerns over rising insecurity in Abuja, particularly the surge in kidnappings and targeted attacks.
Parradang served in the Nigerian Immigration Service for over 30 years, holding various positions across Kano, Lagos, Kwara, Enugu, and Abuja.
