The Kwara State entertainment community has commenced efforts to secure the release of controversial singer, Portable, who is currently being held at the Oke Kura Correctional Facility in Ilorin.
Speaking to Just Event Online TV on behalf of the group, Ibrahim Paranti, Convener of Kwara Talents Harvest, confirmed that entertainers have already visited Portable at the correctional facility to check on his wellbeing. According to him, the singer pleaded with the delegation to help beg and reach out to Fuji legend, Alhaji Saheed Osupa, for his intervention.
“We are making serious moves to get Portable out. Right now, we’re trying to get in contact with Alhaji Saheed Osupa, believing he can lend his voice and influence to help resolve the situation,” Paranti stated.
He further disclosed that plans are in motion to approach Alhaji Saheed Okunola Osupa in collaboration with some stakeholders, expressing optimism that the outcome will be positive.
“I am assuring everyone that good news will break soon,” he added.
The group also called for calm among Portable’s fans and well-wishers, assuring that constructive dialogue is ongoing behind the scenes to ensure a peaceful resolution.
