The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its chairman, Mahmoud Yakubu have been asked to do what is right concerning the recall process initiated against Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The call was made by the Kogi Central lawmaker while speaking to some journalists shortly after her homecoming/Sallah rally at her constituency on Tuesday, April 1.
Akpoti-Uduagham said the image of the commission and its chairman is already dented and needs redemption.
She added that there is a need for Nigeria to have courageous people who can stand threats from “bad people” who threaten the existence of the nation’s institutions.Nigerian political art prints
She said, “I’ll just tell INEC, they should just do what is right. The INEC chairman should not be afraid.
“This is the time for him to redeem his image, especially with regards to the conduct of the past elections. The INEC chairman should do right by this recall.” – Akpoti-Uduaghan said.
