Abuja, Nigeria – Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are currently interrogating former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, over allegations of misappropriation, violation of procurement processes, and diversion of public funds amounting to ₦138 million.

A top EFCC source revealed that the former minister arrived at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja around 11 a.m. on Thursday and has since been undergoing questioning by investigators.

According to the source, the alleged fraud involves the 2023 budgeted allocation for the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, which was reportedly misappropriated during its disbursement.
