The Enugu State Government has marked a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey with the successful graduation of participants from the Enugu Civil Servants Digital Literacy Program. Gracing the occasion was Mrs. Gill Lever OBE, the British Deputy High Commissioner, who commended the transformative impact of the initiative. In her keynote address, Mrs. Lever underscored the importance of digital literacy in modern governance, emphasizing that adopting digital solutions is a global priority for improving public service delivery.

“As governments worldwide embrace digital transformation to enhance efficiency, Enugu State is demonstrating remarkable leadership under the visionary governance of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah. Mrs. Lever also highlighted the critical need to bridge the global digital literacy gap, particularly for women in the workforce. The program is spearheaded by the Enugu SME Center, which continues to champion digital skill development, innovation, and capacity building for the state’s workforce. Through strategic partnerships and initiatives like this, the Enugu SME Center remains at the forefront of preparing civil servants, entrepreneurs, and businesses for the realities of a technology-driven world.
