The Enugu SME Center has proudly sponsored the maiden edition of the Awakening Young Nigerian Entrepreneurs (AYNE) Conference, a groundbreaking initiative by the Student Entrepreneurs’ Club (SEC), University of Nigeria, in collaboration with the AfriLED Foundation.

Speaking on behalf of the convener, Engr. Paschal Okeke, Nwachukwu Emmanuel expressed great satisfaction with the conference’s impact, which provided an invaluable platform for leadership development, self-awareness, and entrepreneurial empowerment. Over 30 SEC members received targeted training sessions and financial grants, equipping them with essential skills and resources to succeed in today’s competitive business environment.

With 75% of global youth lacking employability skills and Nigeria’s youth unemployment rate exceeding 30%, initiatives like AYNE, supported by the Enugu SME Center, play a vital role in bridging the skills gap and fostering job creation. This aligns with Governor Peter Mbah’s ambitious vision to train over 40,000 young people annually in digital, technical, and entrepreneurial skills, positioning Enugu as a hub for innovation and economic growth.

Through strategic partnerships and innovative interventions, the Enugu SME Center remains committed to empowering young entrepreneurs, driving job creation, and fostering a thriving business ecosystem.

A special thank you to all our partners, sponsors, and participants for making this initiative a success! We look forward to witnessing the lasting impact and transformation it will bring to young entrepreneurs across Nigeria.
