Galatasaray are set to break the bank in a historic move to secure Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal following his sensational loan spell from Napoli.
Osimhen, who joined the Turkish giants after a proposed transfer to Chelsea collapsed, has taken the Süper Lig by storm. The Super Eagles forward has netted an impressive 28 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions, quickly becoming a fan favourite and a central figure in Galatasaray’s push to retain the Turkish league title and lift the domestic cup.
Now, the club’s hierarchy is determined to keep him in Istanbul beyond the summer window, despite growing interest from several European powerhouses, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and even Saudi Arabian clubs.
According to reports from Spanish outlet AS, via Turkish publication Cumhuriyet, Galatasaray are ready to offer Napoli a staggering €70 million transfer fee—an unprecedented sum in Turkish football. In addition, the club is preparing a lucrative three-year contract for Osimhen, worth €15 million net per season, alongside performance-related bonuses.
The proposed salary package will put Osimhen among the highest-paid players in Europe and on par with what top Premier League clubs can offer, as Galatasaray fight to keep their prized asset.
Should the deal go through, it would mark a significant statement of intent from the Istanbul-based club and further cement Osimhen’s status as one of the hottest strikers in world football today.
