Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen has shared a deeply personal story about his early struggles in Lagos and how the power of giving helped shape his path to success.

In a heartfelt message during an appearance on Galatasaray’s YouTube channel, the Super Eagles striker revealed that his giving spirit began long before fame and fortune found him. Reflecting on his hustling days in Lagos, Osimhen said:

“Nobody taught me how to give. While hustling then in Lagos, before I could even sample my goods, I would make sure I bought food for the beggars within that environment—even if it was with the last money I had to survive.”

He added that he never struggled with sales during those times, as customers often favored him. That, he said, was the reward of generosity.

“I practiced giving, and it worked for me. I made it my tradition. I find joy in helping others,” he shared.

Osimhen, now one of Africa’s most prominent footballers, credited his success not just to talent, but to a lifestyle of kindness and selflessness. He emphasized his belief in the Biblical principle found in Luke 6:38: “Give, and it shall be given unto you.”

“It’s true—I’m a living testimony that a giver will never lack,” he declared. “The rewards of giving don’t have an end. I encourage my friends out there to do the same.”

He closed his message with love for his fans, saying, “I love you all.”

Osimhen’s story has resonated with many across the world, serving as a powerful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can open the biggest doors.
